Supply of equipment for the highest ropeway in Europe is completed in Elbrus region

North Caucasus Resorts OJSC has completed the supply of equipment for the construction of the third line of the ropeway “Station Mir” - “Station Gara-Bashi” in the Elbrus region, which will take place at the height of 3847 meters. Eight-seat gondola-type cabins of POMA production and components thereto, including solar panels, arrived at the resort on Friday, September 4.

SL1 ropeway design has been started at the All-season Tourist and Recreational Complex Arkhyz in Karachay-Cherkessia; the ropeway will be built from the top station of the gondola lift B10 towards the ridge of Abishira-Akhuba at the height of 3100 metres.

More than 90% of tourists want to return to the resorts of the North Caucasus

Over 90% of tourists, who visited the North Caucasus resorts during the 2014/2015 winter, plan to come again in the new ski season. In the course of an opinion poll conducted by the Romir research holding in February 2015, 94% of respondents in the Elbrus region and 98% in Arkhyz ATRC confirmed their willingness to visit them again.
There were more than 230 thousand visitors in Arkhyz and Elbrus resorts during the winter period.

The total tourist flow of Arkhyz resorts in Karachay-Cherkessia and Elbrus-Bezenghi in Kabardino-Balkaria (in the area of Elbrus), forming a part of the North Caucasus tourism cluster, in winter season of 2014/2015 amounted to over 230 thousand people.
