Cableway on Mount Elbrus is included into the Russian Record Book

Stage 3 of the cable lift from the Mir Station to the Gara Bashi Station on Mount Elbrus built by Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts in 2015 and commissioned on December 27, 2015, was included into the Russian Record Book as the highest cable lift in Russia. The record height was recorded at the mark of 3,847 meters (12,621 feet) where the upper station of the passenger lift is located and the high-mountain skiing area begins.

The ski season in Elbrus ATRC is going on for already more than half a year: opened in mid-December, the resort's ski slopes are working in June as well. The highest ski area in Europe, descending from the Gara-Bashi station at an altitude of 3,847 meters, and the new ropeway successfully service the ski fans in the summer.
JSC NCR set up an environmental ANO Caucasian Nature Center

JSC NCR set up an environmental Autonomous Nonprofit Organisation North Caucasian Nature Preservation and Protection Center (ANO Caucasian Nature Center), which key project shall be recovery of persian leopard populations in the North Caucasus. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Alexander Khloponin during his video-conference with Umar Semyonov, Director of the Center for Leopard Recovery in the Caucasus, where on June 12, a pair of persian leopards brought forth three kittens.

The Government of the Russian Federation in its Decree No. 463 dated May 25, 2016 approved the rules for the granting of subsidies for residents of tourism and recreation special economic zones composed of the tourism cluster in the North-Caucasian Federal District, Krasnodar Territory and Republic of Adygea. The federal budget funds shall be allocated for reimbursement of some part of the interest on loans, attracted by SEZ residents for construction, reconstruction and revamping of capital facilities and equipment purchase.

The ski season in Elbrus all-season resort in Kabardino-Balkaria is going on. The pistes from the Gara-Bashi station at an altitude of 3,847 meters to the Mir station were opened for the resort guests, where natural snow cover opens possibilities for full-fledged skiing.
North Caucasus resorts attract tourists due to the quality of slopes and value for money

More than 27% of Arkhyz ATRC visitors called the high quality of the resorts ski slopes as the main reason to choose the holiday destination; tourists are attracted by the proximity of the resort to their place of residence and the optimal value for money of the services, 19% and 17% of ATRC visitors said. Tourists skiing on Elbrus are mainly attracted by the value for money, as 26% of those surveyed said. In addition, the Elbrus region is chosen as a winter holiday destination due to positive feedback from friends and relatives (21% respondents) and a decent level of slopes preparation for skiing (19% of visitors). The relevant results were obtained in the course of a sociological survey conducted by EPSI Russia by order of NCR JSC during the ski season 2015/2016.
