The new resident of Arkhyz All-Season Tourist and Recreation Complex in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Arkhyz Development, shall build an economy-class capsule hotel. The investor’s business plan was approved within the Expert Council for tourist-and-recreational special economic zones (SEZ) included in the North Caucasian tourist cluster, which took place today in the Ministry of the North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation.
When commenting on the resolution of the Expert Council for SEZ, Odes Baysultanov, the First Deputy Minister of North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Joint-Stock Company Northern Caucasus Resorts, emphasized the importance of adaptation of the tourist offer of resorts of the North Caucasus to requirements of various target audiences, including those with medium income level. ‘At Arkhyz ATRC, now, there are slightly more than 500 accommodation places, and most tourists in the winter season plan to stay in Arkhyz village, 10 km away from the resort, where more affordable vacation hotels and recreation centers operate. Due to emergence of an economy class accommodation facility on the site of the resort itself, we will be able to provide our guests with comfortable rest in immediate vicinity of ropeways,’ he noted.
The hotel resort to be built by Arkhyz Development shall include three buildings of an economy-class capsule hotel with total capacity of 600 persons. The project also provides for construction of an office building, two shirm-bars for 100 seats, a sauna center, laundry, multi-purpose children’s playground and an open parking lot for 140 vehicles. The total investment of SEZ resident shall be above RUB 450 million. More than 50 jobs shall be created during the project implementation. It is planned to implement the project within 2 years.
