Despite the difficult economic situation, All-Season Tourist and Recreational Resort Arkhyz, being created by JSC Northern Caucasus Resorts will develop within the framework of the tourist cluster project. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Alexander Khloponin during his working visit to the territory of ArkhyzATRC last weekend.
"I think that the progress is obvious, but there is a large number of tasks. This is exploration of the northern slope and creation of new accomodation, slopes, lifts. It's all ahead - there is a program of the resort development, there are budgeted funds. Despite the difficult economic situation, today we say that Arkhyz will develop," said Alexander Khloponin noting also that within the framework of the import substitution implementation in travel business, tourist cluster project played a key role in the country.
"Based on the world practice, at least 30-50 years should pass before such resorts gain the full power and acquire all the necessary infrastructure. Everything tha is created here is unique. And I would like to express gratitude to the government of the Republic, and the team of JSC Northern Caucasus Resorts, which is working here," noted the Deputy Prime Minister commenting on the results of the pilot site of ArkhyzATRC tourist cluster.
Alexander Khloponin, who visited the resort during celebration of the "Snow Day", praised the special leisure program organized for tourists on a regular basis. “Arkhyz is an ideal place to celebrate the "Snow Day". In conversations with guests I heard many kind words that give us additional incentives in future work, because everything what is done here is primarily for our tourists,” he summarized briefly.
The head of the Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov accompanying Alexander Khloponin during his visit to the site reminded that "in August 2011 there was absolutely nothing there, and they laid the first pillar of the first ropeway and began to erect the first hotel and service centre. Today, four and a half years later, Arkhyz has three hotels, restaurants, three lifts, seven slopes and so on.” Herewith, the head of the Republic noted the importance of the fact that the resort had already taken tens of thousands of tourists. "Many people come here not for the first time, because they like being here. This is despite the fact that the resort is developing and we have big plans, which we will implement for all our guests,” added Rashid Temrezov.
Director General of JSC Northern Caucasus Resorts Oleg Gorchev informed on the intermediate results of the resort during the winter season. According to his words, the total number of visitors to ArkhyzATRC during Christmas holidays has increased by almost 35% and amounted to about 30 thousand people, and the number of visitors to the resort on weekdays has increased threefold on the average.
